"We are in the process of finishing our Nudura block home and are very pleased with the result. We did hire out the construction of the ICF block since the home is large and the tallest walls stand 35 feet to the peak. Nudura was exactly as advertised and went together smoothly, plumb and square. Special attention was taken to make sure the blocks locked into place to allow the construction to keep its shape without compromising the strength. Even the adherence of the the outside and inside finishes was thought through and was easy to accomplish. The house has already gone through three hurricanes with no incident. Overall we are very pleased with the Nudura system and, if we had it all to do over, would use Nudura again every time.”

Mike and Kathy were trying to find the perfect place to build their dream home. They wanted water front property and wanted it to be safe, secure and be able to withstand the hurricanes and tornadoes that are frequent in Florida. They choose ICF to build with and get the added benefits of lower energy, lower insurance and lower on-going maintenance.Their first location was ideal with sitting high on the Suwannee River in Florida, but like many building and zoning officials that are not familiar with ICF, they were making it too difficult to build. So they looked elsewhere and found the perfect spot on the St John’s River. The local building authority was familiar with ICF and one of the officials had actually built with ICF. So they bought the property and started to build. Not more than 2 weeks from the completion of their home, hurricane Mathew came roaring through their home, with no damage. They have since been through 4 more hurricanes, one tornado and several gale force storms, safely in their home. They also enjoy their less than $100/month utility bills in their 2,500 square foot home with volume ceilings.
